KBS Receives Patriotic Award

Kirby Building Systems was presented the Patriotic Employer Award for outstanding support provided to employees who are guardsmen and reservists. I met the President of the company, Mr. Thomas McCann and had a really good visit before the presentation. He called out the entire work force to witness the presentation of the Patriotic Employer Award to Mr. Brian Cluck, the supervisor of SGT Brent Simon, TN Army Guard.
Mr. McCann signed the Statement of Support after the award was presented in the presence of all his employees. It was a great and touching event made even more special by the presence of SGT Simon in uniform.
The company is building a special memorial in front of the plant honoring all current and former employees who are serving and have ever served in any branch of the Armed Forces. It will include a flagpole and pavers with each service member's name chiseled on the surface. It is a work in progress and Mr.McCann said that he would invite us to participate in the dedication once it is finished sometime next year.
